We are encouraging all of our patients aged 40 – 74, who do not have a pre-existing cardiovascular condition such as diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, kidney disease or stroke to attend the surgery for an NHS Health Check (MOT)
An NHS Health Check is a 5 yearly MOT with a member of the Nursing Team, who will carry out a general review of your lifestyle, as well as checking your blood pressure and carrying out some blood tests. We will check your cholesterol level and your HbA1c (sugar levels to test for diabetes), as well as your kidney and liver function.
